Motivation for the Design
The DJ approached me with a clear vision of what he wanted his landing page to convey – modernity, creativity, and energy. He wanted to showcase his recent performances at various clubs and bars, and create a page that would entice potential clients to book him for their events. My motivation was to create a design that would fulfill his vision and capture the essence of his work.
Elements Used in the Design
I decided to use neon pink and neon green as the primary branding colors, as they are often associated with the ambience of club and bar locations. These colors also add a fun and energetic vibe to the design. To showcase the DJ’s recent performances, I created a photo collage that included vibrant images of crowds, dance floors, and lights. I also added a short and concise title that conveyed the DJ’s name and expertise. The explanatory description text was included to give more information about the DJ’s services and experience. Lastly, I added two buttons as call-to-actions to guide the users towards booking the DJ or viewing his upcoming events.
Overall Design Experience
The design experience was both challenging and rewarding. It was challenging because I wanted to ensure that the design conveyed the DJ’s vision while also being user-friendly and visually appealing. I also had to make sure that the design was responsive and looked great on various devices. However, it was also rewarding because I was able to experiment with various design elements and see them come together to create a cohesive and visually stunning landing page.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the design process was creating the photo collage. I had to carefully select and crop the images to ensure that they fit well together and conveyed the energy of the DJ’s performances. I also experimented with different font styles and sizes to find the perfect combination that would make the title and description text stand out.
Another enjoyable aspect of the design process was adding the call-to-action buttons. I wanted to make sure that they were easily visible and guided users towards booking the DJ or viewing his upcoming events. I experimented with different button styles and placements until I found the perfect balance between visibility and usability.
Conclusion
Overall, I am extremely proud of the landing page I created for the DJ’s portfolio. The design captures the modern and creative spirit of his work and will surely entice potential clients to book him for their events. It was a pleasure to work on this project, and I look forward to taking on more design challenges in the future.
